I've hiked this trail several years ago but forgot how great it was. In my opinion, the best hike around LA, if you like true hiking. Most of the popular LA hikes are just dirt trails along dry hills at the edge of the city. They usually don't get you far enough where you can't see or hear the city. Other than bits and pieces of roads or bridges, this hike is as wilderness as you can get in a major city. Not to mention the crystal clear flowing river. Who knew there was flowing water in LA?
